Bio

After earning a degree in Communication Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University, Greg Miles moved to New York City where he immediately gravitated toward fashion photography.  By working with renowned fashion photographer Michael Thompson, Greg quickly put together a portfolio shooting for such magazines as Interview and Black Book and has been shooting ever since.

In 2001, Greg moved to New Orleans where he turned his focus on the city’s cultural epicenter, most notably its renowned music scene.  He has since photographed hundreds of musicians for both commercial and personal work.   Greg has taken pictures for countless magazines around the world as well as dozens of commercial clients including Gibson Guitars, Island Def Jam Records, NPR, Neiman Marcus, W Hotels, Verve Records, Harrah’s Casino, Sonesta and Tasc Performance.

In addition to his commercial work, Greg’s photos have been included in several group shows nationally as well one-man shows in New York and New Orleans.  Most notably, in October 2005 his work was featured in a one-man show at Gibson’s studios in New York City.  One of the highlights of the opening was Allan Toussaint’s impromptu performance.  All of the proceeds from the show went to benefit New Orleans musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina.
